Waterlily Leaf Earrings
Jewelry, Missouri Native Flora and Fauna
Genevieve’s Missouri Flora and Fauna series turns to the waterlily, a quiet presence on Missouri ponds and slow waters. These earrings celebrate the floating leaf rather than the blossom: a rounded pad with a gently rippled edge, resting on the surface of the water.
Each leaf is saw pierced and fabricated from Argentium silver. The veins radiate from the center in a flowing, petal-like pattern, so the openwork reads as both leaf and flower. The soft satin finish and undulating edge give the silver the feel of a leaf moving on the water. The leaf hangs from a graceful, slender ear wire.
Argentium silver is naturally tarnish-resistant, and these earrings are lightweight yet durable, comfortable to wear all day. For a touch of sparkle, a 2 mm lab-grown diamond can be bezel set near the edge of each leaf on request, like a single drop of dew that has caught the light.
Dimensions: Large, 2.25" length, 1.5" leaf diameter; Small, 2" length, 1.25" leaf diameter
