Urban Egret
Vessels, Decorative Arts, Missouri Native Flora and Fauna
This piece let Genevieve lean fully into whimsy, allowing herself room to play with the design in ways that felt more lighthearted than usual—particularly around the base and feet.
The vase itself takes the form of a simple, cone-shaped vessel, fabricated in copper, with chasing and repoussé bringing the egret to life in three dimensions along its surface. The bird's legs and feet are cold-forged in sterling silver, and a closer look reveals a small surprise: each toe is finished with its own tiny copper toenail, Genevieve's playful nod to a pedicure.
Urban Egret is meant to bring a smile to anyone who views it, from any angle.
Dimensions: 6.5" height x 2" diameter
