Shooting Star Earrings

Shooting Star Blossom Earrings
Jewelry, Missouri Native Flora and Fauna

Genevieve’s Missouri Flora and Fauna series continues with the shooting star, Dodecatheon meadia, one of the loveliest spring wildflowers of the Missouri prairie and woodland. Its nodding blossoms hang from slender stems, petals swept around a pointed center, like small comets in motion.

Each blossom is saw cut from Argentium silver and fabricated petal by petal, then gathered around a tapered point at the tip. The petals overlap and curve, so the form reads differently from every angle as the earrings turn. A long, slender stem rises from each blossom to the ear post, and the line of the earring stays simple and elegant.

Argentium silver is naturally tarnish-resistant, so the soft satin finish stays bright with minimal care. Lightweight yet durable, these earrings are comfortable to wear all day and graceful in movement.

Dimensions: Large, 2.5" length; Small, 1.75" length
