Fern Frond Earrings

Another addition to Genevieve’s Missouri Flora and Fauna series, these earrings celebrate the fern, one of the quiet wonders of the Missouri woodland floor. She was drawn to the moment a young frond is still unfurling, its tightly coiled fiddlehead holding the promise of everything it will become.
Each earring is saw cut from Argentium silver and assembled from many small, individually shaped leaflets. Some are layered into a delicate spiral at the base, and others climb the graceful, curving stem. The stem rises into the ear wire, so the whole earring flows as one continuous line, from the wire to the open coil below. The airy openwork and soft satin finish let light and shadow play through the spiral as the earrings move.
Argentium silver is naturally tarnish-resistant, and these earrings are lightweight yet durable, comfortable to wear all day. For a subtle touch of sparkle, a lab-grown diamond, 1.5 mm or 2.5 mm, can be bezel set in the first or second leaf of each earring on request.
