Acorn Pendant
This acorn pendant is the perfect piece for daily wear, whether worn alone or layered with other chains, and belongs to Genevieve's Missouri Flora and Fauna series alongside the Acorn Earrings.
The acorn is handmade from fine silver and Argentium silver, using the ancient techniques of chasing and repoussé to create its three-dimensional form. A soft satin finish embellishes the surface of the nut, while line texturing details the cap. As with all of Genevieve's handmade pieces, each acorn will vary slightly in size and shape. The pendant hangs from an 18" sterling silver diamond-cut cable chain.
24k yellow gold can be added to the surface of the acorn using keum-boo, a traditional Korean technique for fusing gold to silver. Rather than a typical gold foil, Genevieve custom rolls the 24k gold to a heavier specification, which wears longer than standard foils over time. Since the metals market fluctuates daily, pricing for this option is provided at the time of inquiry—please get in touch with Genevieve before ordering if you'd like to add keum-boo to your pendant.
