Acorn Earrings
These sweet little acorn earrings belong to Genevieve's Missouri Flora and Fauna series, capturing one of the state's most familiar woodland forms in fine silver.
Each acorn is fabricated using chasing and repoussé, the same ancient technique used throughout the collection, giving the acorns their dimensional quality. A satin finish is applied to each acorn, and the earrings hang from an Argentium French ear wire made specifically for this design. Because each pair is handmade, slight variations in size and shape are part of their charm.
24k yellow gold can be added to the surface of the acorns using keum-boo, a traditional Korean technique for fusing gold to silver. Rather than using a typical gold foil, Genevieve custom rolls the 24k gold to a heavier specification, which wears longer than standard foils over time. Since the metals market fluctuates daily, pricing for this option is provided at the time of inquiry—please get in touch with Genevieve before ordering if you'd like to add keum-boo to your earrings.
Available as a single pair, or as part of a suite with the Acorn Pendant at a slight discount when purchased together. As with the earrings, keum-boo can be added to the pendant upon request, with pricing confirmed at the time of inquiry.
