Master silversmith Genevieve Flynn will guide you through the process of the ancient metals technique called Repoussé. Genevieve chose a simple fish image to use for your first project. Though it may seem very simple be aware that simple does not always mean easy! This video gives most everything you need to learn how to use the tools and manipulate the metal.

This video will start you out by explaining the tools Genevieve uses such as chasing tools made In Italy, materials needed, the pitch block etc. It will also give you precise directions as to how to go about getting your pitch bowl/block prepared. Two PDF’s are included upon sign up so you can download them if you like.

Genevieve offers Italian handmade chasing tools for sale. It would be a set of 21 tools for the cost of $650.00 plus shipping. It is not mandatory to have these tools however you will see how some are very advantageous during the process.

Once you have paid for the online class you will be sent a link to the video. If you find you are having difficulty and need to discuss your project you are welcome to reach out to Genevieve to set up a time to have a 30-60 minute Zoom session so both can see the work.
